There was a battle in Kamuro during the Nanbokucho period, and this island is described as Kamuro(加室) in the "Kutsuna Clan Army record book" that recorded it. I've been investigating whether there is a historical connection to the same place name, Kamuro(加室), but I'm not sure. There seems to be no other place with the place name Kamuro(加室).

According to Towa Town magazine, it was in 1606 that Mr. Kono of Iyo was destroyed in Sekigahara and his vassals began to live in the Okikamuro. Before that, it was an uninhabited island. The 18 years from the ban on piracy issued by Toyotomi Hideyoshi in 1588 (Tensho 16) to 1606 will be an uninhabited island. Before that, it is believed that Mr. Kuwahara, the ruler of the Oshima pirates who was under the control of Mr. Ouchi, was a pirate of the Okikamuro, Mori, and Ukashima island. It is possible that the people have perished. In other words, the Okikamuro may have become an uninhabited island twice.
However, there is no record before that. According to a survey by Dr. Miyamoto, there is a remnant of the Gorinto, which is thought to be the Kunisaki Tower, on the hillside of the island, and it is speculated that there may have been a powerful family in the past. Previously, the chief priest Niiyama and my relative, Grandpa Ishii, who is familiar with the history of the island, visited the overnight stay, but it was not possible to obtain reliable information and we have to wait for another opportunity. However, it is said that the air drifting from the village felt the same as this Okikamuro. Did the people of the Okikamuro move in the old days, or vice versa? In the past, they were islanders who rowed small boats to Qingdao of China, to go fishing and set up branch villages in various places. No wonder.
Anyway, I want to visit with my own feet. It is also a place with abundant seafood from the Uwa Sea. That's it! (XX) !. However, I can't go by Corona. At the same time, I would like to visit Ryuo Bridge where Bakuro, in "Tosa Genji" lived.
