Like Mr. Yamada, president of the Hiroshima Kamuro Party, I returned to Kamuro to apply for a memorial stupa and to visit the graves during the equinox.
Since I returned my driver's license, the number of returning "Kamuro" has decreased dramatically. It was a long time since I last went to "Kamuro" and I felt lonely because my neighbors, Itsuo Kitagawa, Toshiko Isobe, and Natsuyo Yanagihara, had passed away in just a few years. The population was 212 in 2000, and 88 in February this year (Chugoku Shimbun), but it has not changed since several years ago, so I am relieved.
This time of year is good weather for yamashigo (maintenance of the mountains and fields), but I can't do it because I don't have the strength due to a chronic illness. I'm sorting out the books I have, but it's hard to throw away the ones related to "Kamuro", so I was wondering if there was anyone who would like to take them. I've attached a photo, so I would appreciate it if you would consider it.
The transferee has been decided, so the request is now complete.(March 31, 2025)
