I was deeply moved by the spirit of working on the revitalization of Suo Oshima, centered on Mr. Niiyama of Hakusei-ji. I was Born in 1935, I spent 6 years in elementary school in Kamuro. The temple was a playground because it was my home near Hakusei-ji.
I was surprised to see the many photographs in Kamuro newsletter that you sent to me, especially because Kamuro still holds Inokosama event which brings the good luck. When I was a kid, I went around the houses of Homura and sang the song of Inokosama, and stabbed Inokosama to bring in the good luck and prosperity of the family.
I still remember the song completely. This song is starting with ‘Gozatta Gozatta Inokosama ga Gozatta …’ and ending with ‘Ebisusama and Daikokusama coming to prosperity to prosperity‘. This song and offerings from each house. It warmed my heart by remembering various things such as having it and eating it together. This is also thanks to Mr. Yagi's warm consideration, and I am grateful.
I am a deaf person and fortunately I was able to spend my time without any problems thanks to hearing aids, but as I became elderly and I could hardly hear even with hearing aids, I asked the person to write a conversation exclusively. I’m sorry for the inconvenience, so I’m not attending most of the meetings. I'm sorry for the Kamurokai, but please forgive me. Currently, the situation is unstable both at Japan and abroad, but I’m praying for Suo-Oshima and Kamuro's development.
