Mr. Kiyoshi Nishimura passed away at 15:14 on February 6, 2023 at the Ube hospital due to pneumonia at the age of 98.
I was surprised when I heard from his son Kazutaka Nishimura at the Tokyo Kamuro Board meeting on March 19th. Because we talked on the phone and he said to continue working on the family tree.
Mr. Kiyoshi Nishimura served as the chairman of the Ube Kamuro Party for a long time, and together with the late Mr. Shigetoshi Yamada of the Tokyo Kamuro Party, he started the Okikamuro Island family tree project and worked diligently to create the family tree.He also created a family tree from 400 years ago for my family, the Yagi family on my father's side, and the Furutani family on my mother's side. he created many Kamuro family trees and gave them to their families.
He actively contributed to the development of the Kamuro-party, and always participated in the annual Kamuro-party meeting held in Tokyo, Kansai, and Hiroshima.
He has been actively posting information on the okikamuro.com website since its inception, and has provided information as a researcher of Okikamuro Island history.
In particular, when my cousin Funk Nathan, who works at the Canadian Embassy in Tokyo from Canada, joined the Tokyo Kamuro Party, I remember my being surprised at how fluently he spoke in English.
He was the best Okikamuro cheerleaders who kept their passion for Okikamuro until the end.I would like to thank Kiyoshi Nishimura for his support of the Kamuro Party.
